I wrote a story last week that caused a lot of controversy. My only intention was to share information that was newsworthy, relevant and interesting to the Capital community. I wrote it like I write all my stories for The Chimes - carefully. Everything in this story is factual and unbiased.
Dear The Chimes and Capital Campus, I was saddened and disappointed to hear about students taking copies of The Chimes and disposing of them. As a staff member who works with Greek Life, I wanted to speak on behalf of the many Greek students who were not involved in this incident.
This holiday season if you are out shopping for gifts at your favorite mall or taking a stroll through a downtown area in the brisk weather, you will probably see a person dressed in a formal military style outfit ringing a bell by a red kettle and asking people to drop their spare change in it.
