Too often in sports we measure a team or player's success by wins and losses while failing to realize the sacrifices athletes make everyday to compete in the sport they love. The Capital University men's and women's Tennis teams have proved this spring that there is more to sports than the amount of matches won and lost.
Sometimes it can be difficult to piece together everything that's happened over the past eight months but when it comes to athletic achievements the 2008-09 school year was exceptional on and off the playing field. Fortunately I have been immersed in the successes of the athletic programs at Capital University over that time and it has left me with a vast appreciation of the accomplishments that have taken place.
