The wall fell in Nov. 1989 After World War II, the communist Soviet Union controlled East Germany. Soviet leaders, fearing citizens would flee to capitalist West Germany, began construction of the wall in 1961. Between 1961 and 1975, the wall went through four stages of construction.

Interfaith dialogue explores peace

Last Wednesday, both Capital University students and community members congregated in Kable Chapel to discuss a common goal: peace. The service opened by volunteers reading, in turn, a passage from one of ten different faiths. "They had the students read, which was interesting," sophomore Vincent Roadcap said.

Pi Phi Epsilon lived up to its colors as the organization sponsored Green Week last week to promote environmental awareness. On Monday, students could pledge to be vegetarian for the week in the P.O. lobby. If a week was too long, one could pledge to just be vegetarian for a day or a meal.

Capital shows support for veterans

Student Government showed their support of American Troops overseas by making rosaries on Veteran's Day. The event was open to all students, and sent out invites to various student organizations, including the Greek organizations on campus and Capital's Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC).

Students show support for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Up 'til Dawn held its event to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Friday night. The organization set up in the Capital Center and prepared an evening of fun for all who attended. The first part of the night consisted of letter writing. Participants brought lists of addresses of family members and friends to send out letters asking for donations for St.
