Where can you see a point guard line up next to a tight end? The answer is intramural sports. Capital has a wide variety of intramurals that anyone can participate in, free of charge. Fall sports include bowling, sand volleyball, corn hole, tennis, ultimate frisbee, and the most popular of all intramurals, flag football. Whichever team wins their sport's championship gets free t-shirts that say "Capital University Intramural Champion." If you missed signing up for the fall sports, don't worry. More sports will be offered in the winter and spring, including men's and women's basketball, coed dodge ball, and many more.

Mike Pollock, Intramural Student Director, commented on intramurals so far this year. "We've had a great turn out so far this year. We have 6 volleyball teams, 8 tennis teams, along with 8 individual tennis players, and 11 flag football teams."

The mission statement of Capital intramurals, according to their website, is "to provide a safe facility, quality programs, and a friendly environment to: students, faculty/staff, and law students. Recreational activities can promote health and wellness, social interaction, fun and peace of mind. We feel that these aspects play an important part in the lives of all people, especially in a student's development." By participating in intramurals, students can meet new people, hone athletic abilities, and most importantly, have fun.

"Our goal is to provide fun activities for students. The sports are slightly competitive, but most importantly, we want people to have fun, fun, fun! We want to get people out of their dorms and get involved on campus. Everything is online this year, including registration, schedules, and rules," Pollock said.
